Universal Orlando is adding a major new coaster to the Wizarding World this summer — an attraction centered on Hagrid, his iconic motorbike and the creatures he cares for.

Rather than a straightforward rollercoaster, the experience blends cutting-edge ride technology with theatrical storytelling.

Guests are invited to participate in a live “Care of Magical Creatures” class and climb onto a recreation of Hagrid’s motorbike, with the option to ride in the sidecar — just like Harry once did.

From there you’re launched into the Forbidden Forest, a purpose-grown environment featuring roughly 1,200 real trees.

Expect up-close encounters with many of Hagrid’s beasts: mischievous Cornish pixies, the return of Fluffy the three-headed dog, and an entirely new creature not seen in the films (and yes, fingers crossed for flobberworms).

The course isn’t a simple point-A-to-B run; the launch shuttles riders through rapid changes of direction, forwards and backwards segments, and speeds approaching 50 mph, with staged obstacles — including a tussle with Devil’s Snare.
